TWO HERALDED COURSES.
ONE INCREDIBLE CLUB.

As the only private facility in Canada with two courses ranked among the nation’s Top 25, The Pulpit Club holds a special place in Canadian golf. Designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry, The Pulpit and The Paintbrush are thoughtfully crafted courses that share a commitment to exceptional conditioning and a classic approach to the game—while offering distinct personalities and playing experiences.

The Pulpit is a modern parkland course that begins with one of the most memorable opening holes in the country, setting the tone for a dynamic and scenic round. The Paintbrush brings a rugged charm, inspired by the great Scottish links. From its rolling terrain to its signature stone fences, it offers a transportive experience that feels worlds away.

With two unique clubhouses and two of the country’s most respected courses, The Pulpit Club offers something truly special—for players, families, and lovers of the game alike.

THE DESIGNERS

DR. MICHAEL HURDZAN:

Recognized as a leader in golf course design for decades, the Pulpit was one of the first courses designed by Hurdzan to bring international recognition. Having started his career in golf architecture in 1957, Hurdzan, both on his own, and with former partner Dana Fry, has worked on five continents and either designed or restored dozens of courses on the Top 100 in North America. The author of six books, including one often referred to as “the modern bible of golf course design,” Hurdzan created the first Environmental Demonstration Golf Course (Widow’s Walk in Scituate, Mass.) and first Environmental Education Golf Course (FarmLinks in Sylacauga, Alabama).

DANA FRY:

A golf designer with a strong sense of the visual, Dana established his career working with Tom Fazio before departing in 1988 to join Dr. Michael Hurdzan’s team, becoming a partner in 1997. Together the pair created some of the most recognized modern courses in the game, including Erin Hills, site of the 2017 U.S. Open, Calusa Pines in Naples, Florida, as well as dozens of other projects.

ON THE RANGE.

At The Pulpit, Members have access to an expansive, all-encompassing practice facility—ideal for honing every part of your game. Whether you’re fine-tuning short irons or launching drives into the distance, the scenic backdrop of the Caledon Hills adds to the experience. The facility includes dedicated chipping and putting areas, giving players the opportunity to sharpen their short game just steps away from the tee.

Over at The Paintbrush, you’ll find a thoughtfully designed warm-up range, putting green, up at the first tee and short game area, seamlessly integrated into the back of the sprawling 9th green. It’s the perfect setup to get into rhythm before stepping onto the first tee of this unforgettable heathland layout.
